COVID Q&A

+ -
Is there a chance the GFSI Conference will move to virtual?

We have made the decision to hold the 2023 GFSI Conference as an in-person event in Atlanta. We are moving full speed ahead in the development of an extraordinary event to support the industry in these extraordinary times.

+ -
Will it be a hybrid event? Can I join remotely?

No, the 2023 edition of the GFSI Conference will not have a virtual component. In line with our commitment to providing the premier networking event for food safety professionals worldwide and to honour the commitment of our sponsors and exhibitors, we are providing an in-person-only event. The Westin Peachtree Plaza in Atlanta is firmly reserved and ready to welcome you!

+ -
Is it safe to hold an in-person event?

We will adhere to recommended cautionary measures, protocols and guidelines from leading health organisations and national authorities and adjust precautionary measures as necessary to ensure the health and safety of our event attendees and staff.

+ -
What has the overall response been from delegates?

We would like to thank you for the overwhelming support and enthusiasm we have received from the community around the decision to hold the event in person – from the encouraging comments to the surging rate of registrations and the renewed support from sponsors and exhibitors.

+ -
What sanitary measures will be put in place?

The safety and wellbeing of our delegates and colleagues is a top priority for The Consumer Goods Forum, the Global Food Safety Initiative and GFSI Conference. The Westin Peachtree Plaza is very spacious, we have reserved our own space and will not commingle with any other groups. Attendees will be spread out in plenary halls, meeting rooms and networking spaces. The exhibition hall has an open floor plan and all recommended sanitary measures – from hand sanitisers to masks and health pass checks – will be implemented throughout the conference week.

+ -
What are the health requirements to enter the United States and prevention measures against COVID-19?

A Vaccine Pass is recommended to participate in the event.
