We are very pleased to announce that the Freshcare Food Safety & Quality Standard – Edition 4.1 is now a GFSI-recognised certification programme after a successful assessment against version 7.2 of the GFSI Benchmarking Requirements. We would like to congratulate Freshcare on achieving GFSI recognition for the first time.

Freshcare, Australia’s largest and most widely adopted fresh produce assurance programme, is at the forefront of domestic and international food safety compliance, underpinning confidence in the safety and quality of Australian fresh produce from paddock to plate.

Now in its 20th year, Freshcare continues to maintain an approach that is underpinned by science, supported by training and remains practical and relevant for industry, aligned with world’s best practice.

“The recognition as a GFSI certification programme owner builds on our commitment to being Australia’s leading standard for the fresh produce and wine grape industries. Our successful benchmarking not only advances the recognition of the programme for our participating businesses in the Australian domestic market, but further widens opportunities for them in the global marketplace.”
