It is with pleasure that the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) announces that FSSC 22000 Version 5 is now recognised against Version 7.2 of the GFSI Benchmarking Requirements.

FSSC 22000 issued a new version of their standards in May of 2019 and expressed their will to maintain GFSI recognition. At GFSI, we are always delighted when Certification Programme Owner maintains their recognition as they update their programmes and see this as part of our continuous collaborative effort to raise and harmonise food safety standards globally.

Aldin Hilbrands – Technical Director, said: “The Foundation FSSC 22000 has developed and implemented a significant upgrade to its Scheme with version 5 that now includes the new ISO22000:2018 standard. FSSC 22000 Scheme continues to be the only ISO 22000 based brand assurance platform for the consumer goods industry that has again successfully achieved recognition for compliance with GFSI Benchmarking Requirements version 7.2.”

Congratulations to the FSSC 22000 team on this latest recognition and for doing their part in driving best food safety management practices throughout the global supply chain.
