The GFSI Japan Local Group convened a crucial ‘Knowledge Sharing’ event in Tokyo on 21 May.
Established in 2020, these Japanese-language seminars are designed to generate practical insights among CGF member companies and to facilitate the resolution of prevalent food safety challenges. The recent iteration focused specifically on ‘Learning from Incidents’.
During the seminar, two local group members presented real-world quality incidents that had occurred in the past and explained their details, causes, and the measures taken to prevent recurrence. Following a question-and-answer session, participants divided into small groups to exchange opinions on lessons learned from both companies’ cases and challenges at their own firms.
This marked the first hybrid format for the seminar, attracting 84 participants with 19 in-person and 65 remote. This record attendance demonstrates the business intelligence senior executives expect to gain from shared case studies.
The post-seminar survey also confirmed the seminar’s usefulness, with many participants commending the two companies that shared their case studies.
To enable continuous learning and collective problem-solving, the planning team affirmed its commitment to holding similar Japanese-language seminars in the future.
We invite all interested leading consumer goods companies to join these crucial discussions.
