About BRCGS Food Safety Issue 9
BRCGS Food Safety Issue 9 was launched on 1 August 2022.

The Global Standard Food Safety has been developed to specify the safety, quality and operational criteria required to be in place within a food manufacturing organisation to fulfill obligations with regard to legal compliance and protection of the consumer. Global Standard Food Safety (Issue 9) is intended to support food manufacturers tackle a wide range of areas including HACCP, traceability, food fraud prevention, management commitment, and food safety culture.

Why a stakeholder consultation
This important step of the GFSI Benchmarking Process ensures its transparency and robustness, inviting interested stakeholders to review and comment on the assessment carried out by GFSI and their independent Benchmark Leaders.
