GFSI is pleased to welcome Brian Olney, Vice President of Food Safety, Quality Assurance and Manufacturing at Wegmans Food Markets, to its Steering Committee. His addition reinforces the Coalition’s commitment to advancing global food safety through leadership and collaboration.
With a Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University at Buffalo and extensive leadership experience across pharmacy, IT, and supply chain at Wegmans, Olney currently oversees the company’s food safety and quality programs. His strategic leadership and dedication to excellence make him a valuable addition to the Coalition.

The GFSI Steering Committee currently comprises 15 experts from the world of food safety – including 7 retailers and 8 manufacturers – who are also members of The Consumer Goods Forum.
All Steering Committee members commit to leading the three strategic priorities of GFSI: harmonising and benchmarking of food safety certification programmes, food safety capability building and public private partnership work.
