GFSI has created the Technical Advisory Note (TAN) as a mechanism to provide timely clarification on the intent, interpretation, or expected application of the existing Benchmarking Requirements (BMR).
TANs offer supplementary context to support consistent and transparent understanding among stakeholders between formal updates of the BMR.
TANs are informative documents only and remain so unless and until their content is formally incorporated into a future version of the Benchmarking Requirements through the established revision process.
