PARIS, 20 JULY 2026 — The Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) has released Chinese, Japanese and Spanish translations of its Position Paper, A Culture of Food Safety, expanding access to the updated framework for food safety culture across global markets.

The second edition of A Culture of Food Safety refines GFSI’s global approach by incorporating the latest academic research and stakeholder feedback since the original 2018 publication. The paper provides a common reference for the food industry by defining the core elements of food safety culture while leaving implementation approaches to businesses, standards owners and industry specialists.

The new translations make this framework more accessible to food safety professionals, businesses and stakeholders across different markets, supporting greater alignment and collaboration on the role of culture in achieving strong food safety outcomes.

The Chinese, Japanese and Spanish versions are now available alongside the original publication:
