New public stakeholder consultation for: SQFI Ed. 10 | GFSI BMRs v2024.

The Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) is pleased to open the public stakeholder consultation for SQF Code Edition 10.

This consultation is a mandatory step in the GFSI benchmarking process to allow for industry-wide input regarding the certification programme’s alignment with the GFSI Benchmarking Requirements Version 2024.

From 29 September 2026 to 29 October 2026 at midnight CET, we invite all interested stakeholders to participate and share their feedback on SQFI’s GFSI benchmarking report.

Scopes of application

SQFI has applied for recognition for:

• SQFI Code Edition 10

against the following GFSI scopes:

• AI – Farming of Animals for Meat / Milk / Eggs / Honey
• AII – Farming of Fish and Seafood
• BI – Farming of Plants (other than grains and pulses)
• BII – Farming of Grains and Pulses
• BIII – Pre-Process handling of Plant Products
• C0 – Animal Primary Conversion
• CI – Processing of Perishable Animal products
• CII – Processing of Perishable Plant products
• CIII – Processing of Perishable Animal and Plant products (mixed products)
• CIV – Processing of Ambient stable Animal and Plant products (mixed Products)
• D – Production of Feed
• G – Provision of Storage and Distribution services
• I – Production of Food Packaging
• K – Production of (bio) chemicals and bio-cultures used as food ingredients or processing aids in food production

Invitation for input

GFSI invites all interested stakeholders to review the assessment documents and provide technical comments regarding the programme’s conformity to the GFSI Requirements.
