[Paris, 10/03/2025] – The Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), a Coalition of Action within The Consumer Goods Forum (CGF), today announced the appointment of Elizabeth Andoh-Kesson as its interim Director. This strategic move will ensure GFSI continues to drive progress in enhancing food safety across the globe.
Wai-Chan Chan, Managing Director of The Consumer Goods Forum, affirmed, “Elizabeth brings deep expertise in global food safety and stakeholder engagement from both the private and public sectors. Her unwavering commitment to GFSI’s mission makes her ideally suited to ensure continuity and momentum in our shared mission to advance food safety across the supply chain.”
Elizabeth Andoh-Kesson, the new interim Director of GFSI, said, “GFSI remains steadfast in reaching its strategic objectives and we intend to maintain our momentum, diligently pursuing these priorities: benchmarking and harmonisation of certification programmes, knowledge-sharing and dialogue with regulators and governments.”
This appointment comes on the heels of the highly successful GFSI Conference in Dublin (31st March – 3rd April 2025) which brought together over 600 industry leaders. The shared commitment, insights and energy demonstrated at the event firmly position GFSI to continue its critical work in strengthening global food safety systems.
