It is with pleasure that the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) announces that the GLOBALG.A.P. HPSS programme version 1.1-2 has achieved recognition against Version 7.2 of the GFSI Benchmarking Requirements.
For GFSI, the opportunity to continue working with Certificate Programme Owners (CPOs) towards the harmonisation of programmes around the world is highly valued; it is one of our strategic tools to ensure safe food for consumers, everywhere. GLOBALG.A.P. was first recognised in 2012 and has maintained their commitment to the GFSI recognition programme since. GFSI was therefore happy to receive GLOBALG.A.P.’s benchmarking application for this programme.
Dr Kristian Moeller, Chief Executive Officer of GLOBALG.A.P., commented, “GLOBALG.A.P. was founded 23 years ago with the purpose: Every generation has the right to safe food. We follow the principles of transparency, credibility and harmonisation. Benchmarking is an important tool and this is why we actively seek continuous GFSI recognition, as significant markets value this harmonisation effort”.
GFSI congratulates GLOBALG.A.P. on their recognition and for doing their part in driving best food safety management practices throughout the global supply chain.
